The Story of the Suburban Collection Showplace
Each year, more than 2 million people stream through the grand atrium entrance of the Suburban Collection Showplace to attend events of all kinds. It’s the largest, privately-owned exposition, conference, and banquet center in Michigan. In 2010, the Suburban Collection, an association of automobile dealerships, bought exclusive naming rights to the conference center. The group has been around since 1948, selling and servicing vehicles in the Novi and Detroit area and it’s the largest dealership group in Michigan. It’s only fitting that it has joined forces with such a significant venue in Novi.
Events and Exhibitions
The sprawling complex comprises 460,000 square feet, with several rooms and conference centers to accommodate events of different sizes. The Suburban Collection Showplace has played host to public expositions, trade shows, association meetings, corporate conferences, and social events. It’s also the home of the Michigan State Fair, which takes place every year in September. Other events that take place at the center include the Gun and Knife Show, India Day, the Novi Bridal Expo, the RV and Camping Show, Jurassic Quest, Motor City Comic Con, the Novi Pet Expo, and much more.

Plan Your Visit
The Suburban Collection Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48374. The center itself is open every Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and closed on weekends when there aren’t events. It’s in a busy part of the center of Novi, with easy access to Interstate 96. The massive facility has tons of parking as well, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot for whatever event you’re attending.
