The Story of Novi Town Center
The open-air shopping center along Interstate 96 first opened in 1987. It was envisioned as the start of a downtown for the city of Novi, and became the center of Novi’s business district once again. The complex originally included a movie theater, which screened Bollywood and Indian films from 2005 until 2010, when it closed. Although Novi Town Center went through some tough financial times around 2011, the opening of Wal-Mart in 2012 helped revitalize the project.

Novi Town Center has several big-name stores as well as local and independently-owned shops. The biggest brands you’ll find are TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, ULTA, Sierra Trading Post, and Wal-Mart. In addition to shops, you can find dining options at Novi Town Center. Most places are casual dining where you can grab something to eat on-the-go as you shop, or sit and relax if you have the time.
Novi Town Center also hosts seasonal events from time to time, so it’s worth checking out their Facebook page for updates on what’s happening. If you visit this outdoor shopping mall you can also catch a glimpse of local artwork. The Artist Allée is a covered walkway with impressionistic murals by Michigan artists and gives you a sense of walking through the state’s forests, lands, and waters.

Novi Town Center is located at 43259 Crescent Blvd, Novi, MI 48375. It’s open from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. On Sundays, the hours are 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The open-air shopping center doesn’t require any fees to enter or park and you’ll find plenty of parking throughout the complex. It can get congested at times, so if you’re driving, be sure to go slowly and keep an eye out for pedestrians.
