The Battle Axe Throwing League (BATL) knew, which is why they started an official league and have opened up multiple locations across North America, including in Novi, Michigan. The History of BATL
BATL is a nationwide company bringing ax throwing to nearly 2 million people across multiple locations. It all started in 2006 when CEO Matt Wilson founded the first Battle Axe Throwing League in his backyard. What started as a passion of his grew into three BATL locations in Toronto by 2013. By 2015, the company had even more locations in Canada and by 2017, BATL expanded into the U.S. Ax throwing venues have become popular in recent years, but BATL was the first to offer indoor ax throwing in urban environments. Ax throwing is recognized as an international sport as well, and BATL is a founding member of the International Axe Throwing Federation.

Events and League Info
At BATL Novi, leagues take place on weeknights as eight-week sessions. You can join a league on Sundays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm or Monday-Wednesday from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Leagues aren’t just for people who know what they’re doing. BATL offers leagues with coaching available, so you can work on your skills each week. Leagues are a great way to get together with friends or make new ones when you need things to do in Novi, Michigan.

BATL Novi is located at 44175 W 12 Mile Rd suite f-141, Novi, MI 48377, in the Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk. It’s open Monday-Friday from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturday from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. BATL offers leagues, walk-ins, and group parties. Check the website to see when walk-in hours take place, or to book your session in advance. BATL has three pricing packages that offer different time slots and numbers of throwers. The lowest package costs $30 per person and can be booked in advance or purchased during walk-in hours.
